Return window is 15 days from delivery date. RMA required for all returns — email customerservice@southsidestrategic.com. Refunds issued within 7–10 business days of receipt. No exchanges offered.
General Return Policy
Except for items designated as nonreturnable or as otherwise set forth below, Southside Strategic will accept a return of eligible items for a refund of the purchase price, provided such return is made within 15 days of the date of delivery. We will also pay the return shipping costs if the return is a result of our error (you received an incorrect or defective item, etc.).
Southside Strategic does not offer exchanges. If you would like a different item, you must return the original item in accordance with this policy and place a new order. Restocking fees apply to the returned item as set forth below.
Unless there is an item defect or a valid item performance issue, returned items must be resalable (no wear or usage), in original packaging, and with all paperwork, tags, parts, and accessories. If the item is not returned in resalable condition, Southside Strategic may reject the return.
All returned items must be accompanied by the original receipt.
Items purchased during promotional sales, clearance events, or with a discount code may be marked as final sale at the time of purchase. Southside Strategic reserves the right to designate any promotional or discounted item as nonreturnable. Such designation will be clearly noted at the time of purchase.
If your order arrives damaged in transit, please contact us at customerservice@southsidestrategic.com within 48 hours of delivery with your order number and photographs of the damaged item and packaging. We will work with you to file a carrier claim and arrange a replacement or refund as appropriate. Damage claims reported after 48 hours of delivery may not be eligible for resolution. Do not discard the original packaging, as it may be required for the carrier claim.
Southside Strategic carefully monitors returns and may take reasonable action, including limiting or refusing returns, to prevent fraud and abuse and to otherwise enforce these terms and all applicable laws and regulations.
Restocking Fees
Restocking fees vary by product category and apply to all eligible returns unless the return is the result of our error (incorrect or defective item received). The following tiered restocking fees apply:
- Merchandise and Soft Goods (patches, apparel, hats): 0%
- Accessories (mounts, grips, cases, slings, cleaning kits, and similar items): 15%
- Optics (scopes, red dots, magnifiers, night vision, and similar items): 20%
- Firearms (non-NFA, pre-transfer cancellations only): 20%
- NFA/Title II Items (pre-transfer cancellations only; post-transfer sales are final): 25%
Restocking fees are deducted from the refund amount. No restocking fee is charged when a return is the result of our error.
Nonreturnable Items
- Firearms (including frames and lower receivers) that have been transferred into the customer's possession
- Suppressors and all other NFA/Title II items after ATF transfer approval
- Ammunition
- Ammunition components
- Blank cartridges
- Bows
- Arrows
- Electronics
- Used, worn, or washed clothing
If a defect is discovered in any nonreturnable item after purchase or transfer, please contact the manufacturer directly to submit a warranty claim. Southside Strategic will gladly assist in locating the appropriate manufacturer's contact information.
Firearms Return Policy
Customers should carefully inspect all firearms prior to having the firearm transferred into their possession. Firearms (including lower receivers and frames) are not eligible for return after transfer into the customer's possession via ATF Form 4473. This is a requirement of federal law, not solely a store policy.
If a defect is discovered in a firearm after transfer, the customer should contact the manufacturer directly to submit a warranty claim. Southside Strategic will assist in facilitating manufacturer warranty claims where possible.
Firearms that have not yet been transferred (e.g., awaiting shipment to a receiving FFL) may be eligible for cancellation subject to a 20% restocking fee, provided that the transfer process has not yet been initiated. Contact us immediately at customerservice@southsidestrategic.com if you need to cancel a pending firearm order.
NFA / Title II Items Return Policy
NFA/Title II items (suppressors, short-barreled rifles, short-barreled shotguns, machine guns, any other weapons, and destructive devices) are subject to special return, refund, and cancellation terms due to the ATF transfer process.
After ATF Transfer Approval
ATF Form 4 Denial
In the event that an ATF Form 4 application is denied, Southside Strategic will work with you on a resolution on a case-by-case basis. Please contact us at customerservice@southsidestrategic.com promptly upon receiving notice of a denial. The following terms apply:
- Southside Strategic will refund the purchase price of the NFA item, less any non-refundable deposit and any third-party costs already incurred, including but not limited to receiving FFL transfer fees and shipping costs.
- Any transfer fees paid to third-party FFL dealers are non-refundable by Southside Strategic.
- The denied ATF Form 4 will be retained by Southside Strategic in accordance with federal recordkeeping requirements.
- You may have the right to appeal the ATF denial. Southside Strategic is not responsible for any costs associated with an appeal.
Pending ATF Transfers
NFA item orders may not be cancelled solely due to ATF processing delays. If you wish to cancel a pending NFA order for any other reason prior to ATF Form 4 approval, the following terms apply:
- Any non-refundable deposit paid will be forfeited. Note that for layaway orders, both the deposit forfeiture and the 25% restocking fee on the remaining balance apply simultaneously — these are separate charges and are not duplicative of each other.
- A 25% restocking fee will be applied to the remaining balance.
- Any third-party costs already incurred (receiving FFL transfer fees, shipping, etc.) are non-refundable.
- The remaining balance less the above deductions will be refunded to the original payment method within 7–10 business days of Southside Strategic receiving the item back in our possession, where applicable.
Layaway and Deposit Returns
For NFA/Title II items and select firearms offered under a layaway or deposit arrangement, the following return and refund terms apply:
Deposit Amount: A non-refundable deposit of 25% of the purchase price is required to reserve any NFA item or firearm under a layaway arrangement, unless otherwise agreed to in writing at the time of sale. This deposit is forfeited under all cancellation scenarios.
Order Cancellation by Customer: If you cancel a layaway order for any reason prior to full payment and ATF Form 4 submission, the deposit is forfeited and the item will be returned to available inventory. Southside Strategic is not liable for any price changes between the time of deposit and cancellation.
Non-Payment: If the remaining balance is not paid within 90 days of the agreed payment date, the deposit is forfeited, the order is cancelled, and the item is returned to available inventory without further notice.
ATF Form 4 Denial (Full Payment Received): If an ATF Form 4 application is denied after full payment has been received, Southside Strategic will refund the purchase price of the NFA item, less the non-refundable deposit and any third-party costs already incurred (including but not limited to receiving FFL transfer fees and shipping costs). We will retain the item and work with you in good faith to explore alternatives.
Form 3 Transfers (SOT/FFL Buyers): Deposits for Form 3 transfers follow the same terms above unless otherwise agreed to in writing.
Return Process
To return an item, please email our returns department at customerservice@southsidestrategic.com to obtain a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number. Returns received without an RMA number will be rejected. You may also use the Contact Us form on our website.
After receiving your RMA number, place the item securely in its original packaging with a copy of your original order with the RMA number written at the top. If you do not have a printer, simply add a handwritten note inside the box with your name, email, phone number, order number, and RMA number listed. Then mail your return to the following address:

You are responsible for all return shipping charges unless the return is the result of our error. We strongly recommend using a trackable shipping method with adequate insurance. Southside Strategic is not responsible for items lost or damaged in return transit. Upon request, we can provide a prepaid shipping label with your RMA number; the cost of the label will be deducted from your refund.
Refunds
Refunds will be credited back to the same payment method used to make the original purchase.
Once Southside Strategic receives and inspects your returned item, you will receive a refund within 7–10 business days of delivery of the returned item to Southside Strategic. Please allow additional time for your bank or card issuer to process the refund after it has been issued by us.
If your return is rejected (e.g., item not in resalable condition, nonreturnable item, or return made outside the 15-day delivery window), we will contact you within 3 business days of receiving the item to discuss next steps. Rejected items may be shipped back to you at your expense.

This Returns Policy is incorporated by reference into the Southside Strategic Terms of Use. In the event of any conflict between this Returns Policy and the Terms of Use, this Returns Policy shall control with respect to return and refund matters.
